Dive deep and take a closer look at the issues that have created stumbling blocks along the way to your goals. This package will use your first 50-min session to explore where you have most often faced challenges in setting and achieving your goals. You will then work on creating a new set of priorities to solve those issues. The next 14 sessions can be arranged according to your needs as twice-weekly or weekly sessions over a longer period. This is a great package for those who have done either the Clarity or Flow package and experienced challenges reaching their stated goals. This training is designed to help participants understand why meritocracies do not create thriving communities that uplift everyone. Topics included in the training are: the impacts of trauma on the brain and behavior, with particular focus on how developmental trauma affects the emerging adult; the effects of top-down processing that lead to implicit bias and strategies we can use to avoid the pitfalls of automatic processing and reaction; and the intersection between trauma and privilege and how it impacts our approach to the world. Learning Objectives: 1) gain insight into how our own experiences of trauma can lead to the development of cognitive filters or “head-tapes” that impact ourselves and others; 2) explore how privilege can affect learning and relationships with those in power positions; 3) examine how our own history may promote a deficit approach when dealing with others; 4) learn how to use a strengths-based approach to teach resiliency as a skill (rather than a character trait that some have and others don’t).
